The Well Walk Theatre, Hampstead

Plann commenced work on the Well Walk Theatre in spring 2021. Situated in an end-of-Victorian terrace which was initially a grocer’s shop, and then a pottery in Hampstead’s Willoughby Road/Downshire Hill Conservation Area, this is a brand new 50 seat theatre, with ground floor shop and café, and 3 storey maisonette on the above ground levels. A complex project within an extremely restricted building envelope.

our role

Intially, Plann provided theatre design guidance, project management and project director responsibilities. During the project, Plann took on architectural and contract administrator responsibilities for the second stage of the construction contract, ensuring that our Client’s brief and requirements were met. Details that Plann are especially proud to have worked and advised on include the auditorium design, theatre seating and joinery, and other decorative works.
